Following her graduation with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University Taft embarked her career with Fox Sports North as a local affiliate and sideline reporter. The reporter also reported on sports, was involved in social media, and acted as host at numerous events. She was soon transferred onto Fox Sports 1 News and Highlights. As part of FS1 Taft covered many reputed championships and reported these from the ground. Concurrently she worked as an official sideline reporter for college football and soon was made the lead for college football reporting alongside Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt. At the time she was invited to take over the role of host and moderator of the show Skip and Shannon: Undisputed her rise to the heights of fame. In the past, she has been seen hosting her own show CFB: Inside Slant and as the pit reporter on the Discovery show Battlebots.
